When I was studying in London, I never felt like I was missing Malaysian food—there were plenty of Malaysian restaurants serving up comforting, authentic dishes. But what I really yearned for were the snacks I grew up with, the little treats that brought me joy during school breaks, stress eating during exam season or lazy days at home.

I always wished I had my own little stash of those familiar flavours to keep me company while being away from home.

That’s how MalaysianBitesCo was born! a collection thoughtfully curated to capture the nostalgia of my childhood.

As a Malaysian myself, I created this platform to share these memories, but with an important disclaimer: these snacks don’t exclusively belong to Malaysia. Many of them are beloved across our neighbouring countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and beyond. t’s a shared memory of Southeast Asia <3.
